Thanks for stopping by SOAR2DREAM!  I hope the information on this blog provides some help along the journey.  This newly created blog  is specifically designed to offer ministry, discipleship, and spiritual development resources for the LGBTQ community and her allies.

It’s more than a model for ministry.  SOAR2DREAM was inspired during my years at Bible college (1998-2001).  As I studied for ministry and sensed God working in me, Spirit showed me the community of love in which we can become whole.  All too often, in the Church, there’s the call to service and obedience without the atmosphere of love and acceptance.  Through various factors, God taught me that the foundation for ministry (service to God and to others) rests entirely upon relationships.

Before Jesus asked the disciples to leave their former lives and follow after the Anointed One, Jesus invested a year building relationships with them.  They didn’t follow because of the call to discipleship or to join a new religion.  Instead, they followed because they knew Jesus, trusted, and loved the One who befriended them.

SOAR2DREAM embraces these two verses:

“By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35).

[Jesus to God,] “I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them” (John 17:26).
